zedit is yet another text editor. However, zedit has several features lacking from other editors. It provides highlighting for several languages - including Java, C/C++, Python, HTML and XML. Zedit fully supports scp, so you can securely open files on linux/unix hosts and edit/save them as though they are local files. It supports large files, and is available on windows, unix and linux. If you've got a mac I'd love your help building a MacOS version. Zedit is free and open-source.
